Following the success and popularity of previous ‘big picture’ club exercises, we are undertaking another one in autumn 2024. Click here to see the ‘candidate’ images received.
After a vote, club members selected ‘Image 01’ of a traction engine.
The image has been divided into twelve equal-sized square ’tiles’ (thank you William!). We drew straws to determine who had each tile.
The tiles were assigned as follows:
1 – Eileen; 2 – Harriet; 3 – Chris; 4 – Barry; 5 – Ann Marie; 6 – David; 7 – Karen; 8 – Linda; 9 – Robin; 10 – William; 11 – Irene; 12 – Peter

And here is the first trial assembly of tiles. This allows us to check how well elements of each individual tile painting match up with adjacent tiles, allowing appropriate adjustments!
We still have some way to go, but ‘The Big Picture ’24’ is starting to take shape! Thanks everyone for your efforts.
